Animal-Assisted Treatment (AATx) is therapeutic intervention including the presence of animals. The goal of AATx is to improve a client’s social, emotional, or cognitive functioning through the benefit of the natural Human Animal Bond. Together we specialize in Canine Assisted Trauma-informed Treatment (CATTx). Bear helps create a calm, safe, and more conducive environment for working with clients who have experienced trauma and other major adverse stressors. We are certified as a Therapy Dog team through Canine-Assisted Therapy and as a certified National Crisis Response Canine Team and Instructor through National Animal Assisted Crisis Response.
